This session explores how trauma impacts client behavior and the attorney-client relationship, with a special focus on the paralegal's role in fostering ethical, trauma-informed legal services. The session will provide a foundational understanding of trauma and how it can shape a client's communication, memory, and trust. We'll also discuss why clients with trauma histories, in particular, may withhold information or lie. We'll talk about tools and practice tips for a more trauma-informed approach to clients.
